I have read rules and regulations and I will abide by them. If the artworks are not collected by us within stipulated period, it will be treated as Society's property and the Society will have the right to dispose off the said artworks and the funds thus collected will be utilized for the Society's welfare activity.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists of Indian nationality, working in any style.
ENTRY: Each participant can submit TWO entries in every category (Not more than two in each category)
SIZE: Minimum - 18 x 18 inch. Maximum - 48 X 48 inch including frame size in case of painting, drawing and graphic. Sculpture in 24"x 24"x 48" height & should not occupy more than 16 cubic Feet in volume and should not exceed more than 40 kg. in weight for stone and 50 kg. in weight for metal sculpture
ACCEPTANCE: a) The Digital entries (for Sculpture images of all four sides has to be submitted) will be accepted online from till 31st December, 2017 (b) Selected Exhibits will be accepted strictly at the participant's own risk and expenses. Society will not be liable for any damages or loss of artworks, though Society takes utmost care of exhibits. c) Sculpture or painting executed using any fragile materials, (Glass Framing, Plaster, Terra cotta, Ceramic) and contain noxious or toxic substances, have inflammability Below 50°C or incorporate dangerous electrical appliances will not be accepted. d) Actual Exhibit which varies substantially from the image shown is likely to be rejected. e) Selected exhibits can be sent via railways, air or roadways parcel courier services at your own risk. The Bombay Art Society will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the artwork. f) Students will be required to produce bona-fide certificate issued by the educational institute to which they belong. (g) The society will have full right to refuse entry without stating any reason whatsoever.
IMAGES RESOLUTION: Digital Images of Actual Exhibits must be 2100 pixels in width(horizontal Images) or 2100 pixels in height(vertical images) not larger than 3000 pixels in width or height. Example: A digital image measuring 5 x 7 inches at 300 dpi(dots per inch)wold be 1500 pixels x 2100 pixels.
FILE FORMAT: Images must be in JPEG format(with a .jpg extension). Save the images at maximum quality with as little compression as possible. File names must include the Artist's name, Category(Painting/Sculpture/Graphics/Drawing)Title of exhibit, Dimension(in inches with Height first) and medium used to create the art work. JUDGING: The decision of the Jury will be final in the matter of selection and Judging and no Communication on the subject will be entertained. Judging committee will not assign any reason for their decisions.
RETURN OF ENTRY: a) Selected entries are to be collected positively from The Bombay Art Society, K. C. Marg, Bandra Reclamation, Bandra West, Mumbai on the last day of the exhibition i.e. on the 7th March, 2018 between 6 pm to 8 pm. or between 8th to 30th March, 2018 from The Bombay Art Society, K. C. Marg, Bandra Reclamation, Bandra West, Mumbai on working days, except Sundays and Holidays between 12 noon and 5 pm. Thereafter, NO responsibility will be taken for their safe keeping or return, which may be noted for STRICT compliance with this rule to be adhered due to the large number of exhibits. Artworks may be damaged without any negligence on The Bombay Art Society's part. The Bombay Art Society will not be liable for the Damage of work in any case. b) The artworks not collected within stipulated period will be treated as Society's property and Society will have the right to dispose off said artworks and funds thus collected will be utilized for Society's welfare activities.
CATALOGUE: a) Each selected participant will get a complimentary copy of the exhibition catalogue during the exhibition. Participants and members of the Society are requested to collect their copy of the catalogue personally from the Society's office during the exhibition period. b) The Society reserves the right to reproduce any entry for the catalogue or for the purpose of publicity.
SALE: The exhibit selected for the exhibition will be offered for sale. All sales will be negotiated by the Society. The Society will retain 30% commission from the stated or negotiated price. The rest of the amount will be paid to the artist.
